J. S. BACH, The Brandenburg Concertos
J. S. BACH, The Brandenburg Concertos

On December 29 and 30 in St. Francis Auditorium, the Pro Musica Orchestra will present Johann Sebastian Bach’s complete set of Brandenburg Concertos (“the most stupendous miracle in all of music,” Richard Wagner). These six concertos abound with imaginative scoring, meticulous craftsmanship and dazzling invention. Pro Musica’s stellar musicians, doing double duty as team members and soloists, include brilliant strings, sighing flutes, boisterous oboes, cavalier horns, a dazzling trumpet and a runaway harpsichord. Thomas O’Connor will be the ring master. Expect to be amazed!
